With an engineering degree in Electrical/Electronic at University of California always wanted him to apply knowledge in Agriculture. After 28 years of successful professional career right from entry-level engineer to General Manager he joined as President of a Biological Company and focused on microbial technology for Soil rejuvenation and Wastewater treatment. In 2020, he founded non-profit organization, Punjabi American Growers Group (PAGG) to help family farmers in California. PAGG organization represents California farming over 700,000 acres in California. PAGG goals are to provides Ag Technical knowledge, business education, Government laws/regulations or Government policies, reduce farm input costs, optimize farming operation and market knowledge etc. PAGG utilizes social media, two radio channels, website and hands on workshop to empower farmers.
Also, started Fertilizer company called Fertilizer Depot Inc. to provide affordable & highly technical solutions for growers addressing some of the key fundamental issue with water/soil and trees. Always wanted to prove efficacy of products before taking it to farmers which took a birth of GRIN.

Right from the beginning his interest posed into agriculture research being grew up on the farm. After completing his masters in Agrochemicals and Pest Management Vishal pursued for PhD in biological pest management (Entomology). A decade of experience at world’s largest sugarcane research institute brought him to post doctoral position at UC Berkeley for reserch in strawberries.
What makes him a well rounded agricultural researcher: Masters in agrochemicals, doctorate in pest management and post doc in plant pathology made him to learn more about agronomy with respect to soil science, fertility, biostimulants, environmental sciences during his 15 years of tenure working as contract researcher in California and some other states.
Experience in research and valuable interactions with growers helps to meet both ends together. Always striving for taking tested/proven ag technologies to growers for betterment of farmers and ag industry.
